Alberta Records Centre (ARC) is an environmentally controlled, secured facility which supports the business needs and the legislative requirements of the Government of Alberta by providing storage, retrieval, re-filing and disposal of government records. Paper files and other media are stored in customized ARC storage boxes.
The facility also houses a large reference rooms for use by government departments to view or interfile their files/records. Other media such as x-rays, microform (roll, aperture card, jacket, fiche), CD-ROM, DVD, VHS tapes, cassette tapes and audio computer tapes of all varieties (e.g. DLT tape) are also handled at the ARC.
